Story Of Jalan Sungai Besi

10 years back, the road along the old airport or Jln Sg Besi would be very quiet by the time it was pass midnight. Back then, there were lesser cars than now. The whole highway there was said that it used to be an old chinese cemetarial ground and even as we speak today, you can still see some old chinese tombstones just by the side of the road.

It was very late when this young taxi driver drove by the deserted road. He decided to take a shortcut by cutting through the old cemetary grounds. Being a brave man he is, he was not afraid nor did he believed in the ghost stories that some of his fellow friends tell at the coffee shop during their break times.

As he was driving through the winding trunk road, far ahead, he could see a lady standing by the roadside. The closer he got, he noticed that the lady was very attractive and wore a long white dress. Not only was she pretty, she also seemed to be upset and waiting for something. The young taxi driver thought he could be a good samaritan and pulled over. He asked the lady if she needed a ride and the lady happily agreed. As soon as she stepped into his car, he could smell a very pungent smell of some sort of flower and commented that her perfume was nice. The lady only smiled and handed to the young taxi driver a piece of paper.

After looking at the address written on the paper, the young taxi driver drove to the destination. Along the way, he couldn’t help but notice the sweet scents of the flowers. After arriving at her destination, the lady got out of the taxi without paying.

The very next morning, only did the young taxi driver realized that the lady did not pay for her ride. Since her home was on the way to his house, he decided to drop by to collect the debts.

Upon arriving at her house, he spoke to an elderly couple and explained to them the senario the night before. The elderly couple were shocked and replied that it would not be possible since their only daughter had already passed away 7 days ago. The young taxi driver did not believe the elderly couple and thus, they showed him their daughter’s shrine. The young taxi driver was so shocked when he saw that the picture on the shrine was exactly the attractive lady that he took on as a passanger just the night before.

The 'DO' and 'DON'T' #2

6. If you hear something and you know that’s its not right (eg noises in an empty office where there’s no one but you), don’t call out or ask aloud who’s there. It is said that the spirits might just be playing and by calling out, you are acknowledging their existance and thus, the spirits would be more than happy to continue disturbing you

7. Get enough lighting at corridors. It is said that spirits like to lurk at dark and damp places and corridors are some of the best places. Lighting would prevent spirits from choosing the corridors as their best hiding place

8. Dog tears would open up your third eye. Anyone tried that?

9. If spirit disturbs you and its not willing to leave, swear as much bad words as possible. It is said that spirits are afraid of them. See, you now you can officially tell everyone its good to learn bad words first in any language

10. If the cinema is full and there are empty seats at the last row, do not get an itchy butt and move to the empty seats. It is said that those empty seats are left for our friendly friends. I’ve personally experienced it before where the whole cinema was full except for the seats at the last row but then again, perhaps it was just a bunch of people that bought the ticket but did not appear for the screening.

The 'DO' and 'DON'T' #1

1. Do not stand at the corner of the lift / evelator.Apprently, that’s where the spirits like to lurk. (this one I can explain, perhaps from those ghost movies that you usually watch? Remember when the victim would just get into the lift and press the button then suddenly in the corner of his eyes, he would see some feet in one corner?)

2. Do not lean yourself / face etc against the wall. It is said that spirits move about by crawling along the wall so… you won’t want to get in their way, would you?

3. Do not call out your friends name or even answer to someone calling you when you are jungle trekking. It is said that the forest spirits would lure you by calling out your name

4. For the Chinese out there that celebrates Hungry Ghost Festival, it is said that once you start offering food during this day, you will need to continue with it as the spirits would come looking for your offering the following year

5. Remember the rules and regulations of staying in a hotel? You can look for more there

Pudu Prison, Kuala Lumpur

Front view
Corridor

Old prison that was abandoned after the area around it became commercialized. Reports of a strange thin Indian man walking the prison hallways and disappearing around the corner. Screams can be heard from the room where hangings take place. Certain areas such as specific cells and holding chambers were far colder than others. - Update: They are turning this back into a prison (for low security prisoners) as no one will take it up for commercial property as it is too well known for the hauntings. There were plans to turn it into a hotel where you can stay a night at the cell of the most notorious criminals. Actually, the listing is wrong about hangings. The hangings do not take place at Pudu prison. Unless its self inflicted/murder. Official hangings are done outside Pudu. There were of course many in-prison acts of violence that led to deaths of inmates. Many drug addicts were known to be victims of violent criminals and so they were moved out into another prison elsewhere.

The Deadly Junction, Georgetown

A T-junction better known as The Deadly Junction is located beside the Union High School. It is said that if you ever drive through this lonely road late at night, your car will go out of control and crash due that many accidents happened.  It is also said that there is a tiny unknown tree beside the road which looks like a lady carrying a baby. The story was known by some old folks saying that this lady was once a bomoh who kidnapped her sister's son. Somehow, they never again appeared anywhere except other than being sen beside seen beside seen this road.

Rumors in Parkson, Miri, Sarawak

Story 1:

There are rumours that a Kwai Moon Kwan ("Ghost Gate" or Portal to Hell) is located at the place behind Sushi King (New Wing) Bintang Plaza.

There is a small roadside altar (red Chinese altar) in that area. The roadside altar was initially only a small poorly built structure but it has been "renovated" and "upgraded" several times within only 3 years and now it is considerably bigger and more well-equipped than it used to be. According to rumours, the altar was "upgraded" because the spirits in the area are more powerful / becoming more powerful.

Story 2:
Rumours have been floating around Miri that almost 500 human skeletons were found at the construction site of the new hotel adjoining Bintang Megamall / Bintang Plaza (soon-to-be Meritz Hotel). They are believed to have been killed and buried during the Japanese occupation of World War II.

I've also heard from a sales person there who has said that there is supposedly a powerful "lady in red" who is behind the deaths of several men there. The sales person said it is believed that the "lady" is out to kill 7 men in order to menjadi manusia (revert to human form)..after which she would drink blood to survive (pontianak).
Apparently the situation became unbearable to the shop owners there and a Chinese exorcist or bomoh was called but it did not improve the situation.
There are speculations that there will be some special prayers held in the area around mid to end May 2011.

Story 3:
There's a Bata Shop (Bata shoe shop) situated at the new wing of Bintang Plaza on the Ground Floor, near Secret Recipe Restaurant and Sushi King Restaurant. Some people have been saying that it's haunted, and each story is basically a variation of the same theme:

Ms. M's sister knows the owner of the Bata Shop.
Apparently the store is a mess and shoes are thrown all over when the staff open shop in the mornings. The owner was understandably not pleased and reviewed the CCTV recordings to catch the culprit.

However, when they reviewed the CCTV recordings, the owner and staff were shocked when they saw the shoes seem to fly off the racks by themselves...

Tras Police Station, Pahang

During the 1950’s, a police corporal and his wife were found in a state of shock and terror after opening their door to an unknown figure. Many police personnel were terrorized by this entity that other policemen would rather resign than being transferred to this remote station

Malay College Kuala Kangsar, Kuala Kangsar, Perak

This school is said to be a former site of Japanese occupation camp during WW2. Students would sometimes be awakened by something that stares down directly at them. A marching platoon can be heard in the field and sounds of dragging chains can be heard through the campus corridors. A tree on the campus, which is located right beside a lampost where the light shines down on it, reflects a shadow of a man hanging from the tree! A few other old colonial admin buildings that were used by the Japanese during the Occupation in the 1940s where executions are taken place are buildings like Victoria Institution and Bukit Bintang Girls School

Bukit(Hill) Tunku, Kuala Lumpur

A spooky place to be. Bukit (Hill) Tunku is actually one of the more elite Residential areas in Kuala Lumpur. This place has many big and tall trees, and has this eerie feeling about it even at broad daylight and of course at night. It is said that a few years ago two youth embarked on a high speed motorcycle chase around the curvy roads of the area. One of the youth crashed at a dark stretch of the road, which is actually a very sharp corner. There have been claims about sightings of a young man riding a motorcycle at high speed, who mysteriously vanished in the dark.

Genting Highland, Kuala Lumpur

A famous hill-top resort and casino. Many people incurred gambling debts and committed suicide here. Some visitors leaving the hotel lobby reported seeing a man in red jump from the rooftop, just to disappear before he hits the ground. Certain rooms are not available for rent no matter how full the hotel was - those who have seen the inside reported that it was filled with old Chinese ghost wards. They would subsequently fall sick for days afterwards.

Ria Apartment, Pahang

People saw shadows moving in their rooms. There are lots of noise with people walking, women talking, children playing, water flow in the bathroom in the middle if night and also door knocking sounds but eventually no one was there.

SMK Tanjung Lumpur, Kuatan

Sekolah Menengah Kebangsaan (SMK – Middle/Secondary School) Tanjung Lumpur is located in the city of Kuantan, state of Pahang, Malaysia. It was established in 1983 and has 820 students.
Since some time in May 2008, the school has experienced what is probably unprecedented in the history of the world’s educational institutions: almost daily supernatural / paranormal manifestations right in the middle of class, and right in front of journalists covering it.
So far 35 students have been affected.

A dozens of bomohs, spiritual and faith healers have visited the school. Some came from another state, while some came all the way from Indonesia.
They all said the same thing: there are many ghosts, spirits, jin and other supernatural beings in the school.
Some of the bomoh said they have communicated with the spirits who caused the bouts of hysteria and claimed that the spirits said:
(i) the cause of the problem is that the construction of the school’s new building had encroached on their area
(ii) they can leave the school, but they have several demands including a special feast.

What did the affected students see?
(i) most claimed that they saw a being with long hair
(ii) others claimed they were possessed by an old woman. That was apparently the reason why they acted and sounded like one.

Eminent local religious figure, state mufti Datuk Abdul Rahman Osman does not agree on “striking a deal” with the beings.
Two “paranormals” from Indonesia said:
Only one or two of the students were possessed by the spirits while the rest were responding due to a “herd instinct”. Most of them become hysterical due to other factors, including examination pressure and family problems. Some are reacting to the harsh treatment meted by bomohs during exorcism.
But some victim’s parents disagreed, like Mariah Mat Zain who said:
I’ve seen my daughter [form 2 student] turning her head more than 180 degrees. She could also overpower five men when possessed. She had been transferred to another school but she still suffers from bouts of hysteria. Don’t tell me she is faking it. She’s too young to do it.
She had sent her daughter to see a doctor, as had some other parents, but doctors gave the students clean bills of health, and they (the doctors) said it was a difficult phenomenon to explain, especially if it involved a Muslim. Usually, the only advice given would be to seek help from an ustaz [religious teacher] and pray.

The “attacks” would only happen between 10am – 12pm every day.

Between 5 and 21 students would get affected.
Most said they saw an extremely old woman, perhaps 200 years old who would climb up a fellow student’s back, causing that person to stoop and walk like, well, a very old granny.

However, some reported seeing a tall, big creature with monstrous face and demeanour, who would initally scream, then whisper into someone’s left ear, which would cause that someone to be hysterical and delirious, saying that they’re seeing hundreds of dark-complexioned “aliens” the size of kittens crawling all over their bodies, causing them to struggle in fear.

a journalist and a cameraman to visit the school, and they saw for themselves how two students, both girls, became hysterical at the school gates about 1.10pm. It happened when one of them suddenly ran in order to get out of the school compound. When the security guard attempted to stop her, the girl screamed at him, then suddenly her feet became wobbly, then she fell unconscious for about a minute. When she came to, she was delirious, then fell to the ground. This repeated itself 3 times before teachers carried her to a classroom.

Aeroplane Banglow (Mona Fandey's House), behind Leisure Point, Cheras

For those who don’t know, Mona Fandey was a popular bomoh back in the 90′s, and reportedly used black arts to help many politicians achieve power. She was executed in 2001 for murdering politician Mazlan Idris in 1993 while conducting a ceremony to invest him with power. It’s reported that Mona, along with her husband, had Mazlan lie down while they conducted a ceremony, before dismembering and partially skinning Mazlan. At her execution, she claimed “I will never die,” and her house is supposedly haunted due to the black arts she practices there

MYSTERIOUS GREEN PARK INN

The 125-year-old Green Park Inn is so notoriously haunted that the hotel keeps a “ghost register” at the front desk, so visitors can record their paranormal encounters. From the sounds of laughter and footsteps coming from invisible children to mysterious knocks and cold spots, the haunted inn’s record is long and rich.A jilted bride reportedly killed herself in Room 318, and several people have died of natural causes or otherwise in the hotel’s rooms.

The ghost is at the beginning of the video when the cameraman looks down the dark hallway. You will see a white type a figure on the right hand side. If you cannot see it you might try turning the brightness of your monitor up. I had to turn mine up from 38 to 68 to be able to see it well.

Lady Templer Hospital, Cheras

Apparently haunted by a ghost of an old lady, the Cheras Policlinic (as it’s also known) may be inhospitable for the intrepid ghost hunter- some eyewitness accounts place the ghost as unwelcoming to ‘cari pasal’ ghosthunters.

Villa Nabila, Johor Bahru

Situated on a hillside facing Johor’s popular Danga Bay, Villa Nabila is prime property, which may lend credence to the stories that it’s haunted, as a prime property house like that isn’t commonly abandoned. Apparently the family home to a rich family, the house was robbed and the occupants killed, leading to it’s current haunting at the hands of the restless souls within. Some intrepid ghost hunters have reportedly gotten ‘lost’ in the villa, only to escape at dawn, and no sooner.

Incident About The Infamous Haunted Karak Highway

It was late at night when a young couple and their baby was travelling in a car along the Karak Highway. They were trying to get home, like the rest of the other Malaysians because it was nearing festive season. And like the many other Malaysians, they choose to travel at night to avoid the traffic jam and also the heat of the sun when noon gets in the way.

As they were travelling along the lonely stretch of Karak Highway, suddenly, the car gave a sudden jerk and started making weird noises. The husband was fairly surprised because he remembered to check the car before travelling long distance to ensure the safety of his family. Soon, they had no choice but to stop by the roadside. The husband got out of the car to check the car engine while his wife and baby was waiting in the car. After a few minutes, he came back and reported that he could not see anything wrong and tried starting the car again. However, the car just would not budge. At loss, the husband made a difficult decision to either wait until another car comes along or walk to the nearest phone booth.

Not wanting to leave his family behind, they waited. After some 20 minutes or so, the highway remained quiet. The husband wondered why was there such calmity on the highway when festive celebrations are just around the corner. Perhaps it was due to the late night, he thought to himself. After what seemed like eternity, the husband decided to take the second option.

Advising his wife to lock the doors and take care, he left them behind with a heavy heart. His wife, on the other hand, watched her husband walk away with worries on her mind. She prayed hard that someone would eventually notice their stalled car and offer help. She was also worried that accidents might happen.

Hours passed by and soon she started getting even more worried. She was worried something might happen to her husband. Worried, she fought with herself over if she should just keep on waiting or leave the car behind and look for her husband. But where should she start looking? In the end, she decided to get out of the car to stretch her legs. As soon as she came out of the car, she realized that something was staring at her from behind. As she turned, she saw the bodiless head of her husband with his eyes and mouth wide open as if in shock staring back at her. Til this day, no one has found the remains of his body.

Karak Highway, Kuala Lumpur

The Karak Highway is home to numerous freak accidents and paranormal activity, with drivers reporting the invisible presence of ‘another person’ with them, whether it be a car or motorcycle. Beyond that, there’s an urban legend of a yellow Volkswagen that may chase you on the highway- carrying a ghostly passenger.

MACC Haunted by Late Teoh Beng Hock

"China Press reported that the spirit of deceased political aide Teoh Beng Hock had been appearing at the Malaysian Anti-Corruption Agency (MACC) building in Shah Alam.

It was reported that several security officers had seen his spirit at level five and level 14 of the building.

The daily also reported that a security guard claimed that he was “bitten” on the neck inside a room.

The guard later went to the reception counter and saw Teoh’s spirit walking away. He later felt someone pulling his leg.

The man was reported to have applied to be transferred back to the MACC headquarters in Puchong."
